Chester College Student Serves Inner City Outreach

Megan Walling traveled to Tucson, Ariz to serve through Inner City Outreach program

Grove City College sophomore psychology major Megan Walling, traveled to Tucson, Ariz., on an Inner City Outreach (ICO) trip with other students from the College in early April.

ICO Tucson partnered with Life in Christ Church and The Giving Tree, a local outreach organization. The team led a vacation Bible school program for local children and fed the homeless each night. They also tutored area students and participated in a construction project.

ICO trips began at Grove City College in 1988 and now take place nearly every break in the academic year. While the College provides training and resources as well as partial funding for the trips, each trip is student-initiated and student-led. There are more than 15 trips annually, both in the United States and abroad, where students focus on ministering and serving the needs of communities they visit.
