Chester Fireman's Carnival Fireworks: What You Need To Know

Heading to the fireworks tonight? Police have these tips for you.

CHESTER, NJ — The Chester Fireman's Carnival fireworks are tonight (June 22), and the event should be fun for the whole family. The fireworks start at 10 p.m. Parking will cost $5 per car, and entrance to th fest is $1 per person. (Read more about what the event has to offer here).

Police have these tips about parking and driving to the fest:

1. Vehicles entering Chubb Park will be directed to one of two lanes- the left lane will be for paid parking and the right lane will be for drop-off and pick-up of event attendees.

2. Prior to the end of the fireworks show, all vehicles entering Chubb Park will be required to exit the property using the service road located at the rear of the park. Please follow the directions of CVFD personnel and posted signs.

3. Parking in the Chester Library parking lot will be restricted to emergency services vehicles only.

4. No vehicles will be allowed to stop or park along Route 24 (CR513) between Chesterfield Drive and U.S. Highway 206. This includes the dropping off and/or picking-up of event attendees. Please obey the posted emergency “no parking” signs. Violators will be ticketed and/or towed at the owner’s expense.

5. Due to State fire regulations, no persons shall be permitted to sit or congregate in the dedicated pedestrian pathway along Route 24 or Chubb Park Road. Those who fail to obey the instructions/directions of Chester Fire Company personnel may be subject to prosecution.

6. At the conclusion of the fireworks show, exiting vehicles will be directed to the service road exit at the rear of Chubb Park, as well as the front gate (Route 24 gate). Parents wishing to pick-up their children, friends, etc. shall enter Chubb Park via the Route 24 gate and proceed to the attendee drop-off/pick-up area.

7. The rain date for the fireworks show is Saturday, June 23rd.
