Chester Lioness Club Awards 2017 Scholarships

Chester Lioness Club awards scholarships to area high school graduates, Daniel Blomster, Daelien Drake and Juliana Popp!
Daniel is a recent graduate of Mendham High School where he took AP classes in Statistics and Calculus AB, as well as English 4IB-SI. In addition to his love of statistics, Danny has completed studies in Chinese and Mandarin. He participated in several school vocal groups and is an accomplished musician. Using his love of statistics he works as a baseball analyst for Fantasy Baseball analyst Scott Swanay making projections for every hitter in MLB baseball this season. After completing his third mission trip this summer, Danny will attend Stony Brook University on Long Island.
Daelien Is a recent graduate of West Morris Central and will attend Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina where she will study psychology and art therapy. Project Peace, Zen Zone and Art & Photo Club were among her activities at WMCHS where she achieved honor roll status. Daelien looks forward to being the first in her family to attend college. During high school she has worked as a floral assistant and crew member at Wendy's. She is active in her church and has spent much time serving others. Daelien looks forward to graduating college and being able to create happiness and helping others.
Juliana is also a recent graduate of West Morris Central High School where she was an honor student. Juliana is an accomplished dancer having received both regional and national awards. She shares her dance talents as an assistant instructor of dance for students of special needs. Juliana has also spent time as a counselor at Camp Clover, a bereavement camp created to help children deal with loss. She currently participates in several activities at her church. Look for Juliana at Taylor's Ice Cream Shop in Chester, NJ this summer before she leaves for Quinnipiac University in Connecticut where she will study Nursing.
