Chester Lioness Club thanks community for support of Culinary Adventures 2016

Chester Lioness Club culminates bi-annual fundraising efforts with the support of local restaurants and community

The Chester Lioness Club bi-annual fund raising activity, Culinary Adventures 2016, culminated in the drawing of 6 prizes at 8:00 PM on December 1, 2016 in the Lamplighter Restaurant, 180 West Main St., Chester, NJ. Each prize, valued at more than $600.00, consisted of 15 dining certificates donated by local restaurants. The winners are:

  • Culinary Adventure #1: Louise O'Neil from Clark.
  • Culinary Adventure #2: Marjorie Patterson from Flanders.
  • Culinary Adventure #3: Cherie Szpunar from Chester.
  • Culinary Adventure #4: Andrew Thoelen from Flanders.
  • Culinary Adventure #5: Rich Lucey from Chester.
  • Culinary Adventure #6: Diane Murray from Long Valley.

More than 90 restaurants donated dining certificates to assist the Chester Lioness Club in continuing its many charitable activities and community services. The club is a non-profit organization that has served Chester and the surrounding area for more than 30 years. All funds raised by this raffle will go toward the support of the Chester Lioness Club charitable activities which include: annual scholarships to local graduating high school seniors; Operation Chill Out (homeless veterans); Operation Jersey Cares (overseas troops); The Jersey Battered Women's Shelter; Homeless Solutions, Inc., Morristown; Matheney Medical and Educational Center, Peapack; Community Hope Inc.; The Chester and Long Valley Food Pantries; The Chester Theater Group at The Black River Playhouse; Chester Area Senior Housing; The Senior Resource Center; The Market Street Mission; The Vision Loss Alliance of NJ; SAFE in Hunterdon County and The Chester Lions Oktoberfest.

The Chester Lioness Club would like to thank all of the restaurant owners who participated
in donating a dining certificate for the Culinary Adventures 2016 Raffle and the community members who generously supported the fundraiser with their purchase of tickets.
