Chester Lions Club Sponsors Eye and Ear Screenings
Chester Lions Club Coordinated Free Vision and Hearing Screenings

An original mission of Lionism was eyesight conservation. Today, Lions worldwide dedicate themselves to eradicating eye related diseases in a continuing commitment to improve life for millions.
The Chester Lions Club contributes to this work, helping to ensure the community is protected against the loss or reduction of eyesight and hearing. On September 23, 2017, the Chester Lions Club coordinated free vision and hearing screenings at the Michael J. Vitale Annual Health Fair in Kenilworth, where approximately thirty residents were screened by representatives of the NJ Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired, and seventeen people underwent hearing screenings.
The Chester Lions Club, in conjunction with the Linden Lions Club, also sponsored another free eye and ear screening on Saturday, September 23, 2017, in Linden, N.J. Trained vision and hearing technicians were on hand for vision screening of over thirty participants and hearing screening for fifteen people.
