Chester Native Earns Honors at Skidmore College

Brian Dowe, a member of the class of 2013 at Skidmore College, earned term honors for the fall semester. He is the son of Richard and Maia Dowe of Chester.

Term honors are awarded for a quality point ratio of 3.6 from a possible 4.0, for students who have completed 14 credit hours.

Skidmore recognizes academic excellence in several ways. In addition to earning term honors based on work completed each semester, a student may be elected to the Periclean Honor Society, Skidmore's own academic honor society, or to the Skidmore chapter of Phi Beta Kappa.

Founded in 1903, Skidmore College is a coeducational, liberal arts college that enrolls approximately 2,400 students. The college grants both the bachelor of arts and the bachelor of science degree, as well as a master's degree in liberal arts.
