Chester Resident, Grandfather Dies at 86

He was quick-witted and loved the arts.

Harvey Guerin, Jr., died recently at the age of 86, according to his obituary.

The Chester resident spent 30 years working as a social worker in New York City. Guerin enjoyed watching football, especially the Giants, and baseball, especially the Yankees.

Guerin was a talented artist who loved theater productions and trying new restaurants in his retirement years.

Guerin is survived by his wife, Marilyn Croot Guerin, a daughter and granddaughter.

A memorial service will be held at the Community Presbyterian Church in Chester on Saturday, Jan. 10 at 11 a.m. Memorial donations to the church are appreciated.
