Chester Science Fair participant selected as Broadcom MASTERS National Semifinalist
William Li, 8th grader at Delbarton and participant in the 2017 Chester Science Fair, is TOP 300 competitor in Broadcom MASTERS competition
William Li, an 8th grade student at Delbarton School in Morristown, was selected as one of 300 Semifinalists in the Broadcom MASTERS Middle School Science competition for his project: "Is Monte Carlo Tree Search Always a Winning Strategy for a Board Game?".
The Top 300 competitors were chosen from more than 6000 nominees and 2500 applications from 111 regional and state fairs across the US. Each application received three independent readings and evaluations by distinguished scientists, engineers and educators.
Broadcom MASTERS is the nation's most prestigious Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) competition for middle school students. Broadcom MASTERS, a program founded and produced by the Society for Science & the Public, seeks to inspire young scientists, engineers and innovators who will solve the grand challenges of the future. The top 10% of scores from middle school participants in the Chester Science Fair are nominated to apply for the Broadcom MASTERS competition.

The 38th Annual Chester Science Fair will be held on March 3, 2018 and is open to all students living in the Chesters. Additional information about the fair can be found at http://www.chestersciencefair.org/.
