Chester Teen Helps Volleyball Squad Spike Statewide Competition
Angelo Liu and seven teammates from around the state rolled through a tournament recently to take first place.
Angelo Liu, of Chester, along with seven teammates from around New Jersey came together recently to knock out the competition in the Southern Volleyball Club Invitational Tournament recently.
The tournament, which took place in Manahawkin, saw the Warren Sixpak 16’s (A) team out of Holmdel win a decisive 25-13 contest in the finals of the tournament. The squad finished the tournament with the No. 1 seed in its pool after going 8-1 in the tournament.
In the semifinals and finals, the Warren Sixpaks beat the North and South teams, respectively, to finish the tournament with a record of 10-1. There were nine club volleyball teams from around the state in the tournament.

Liu was joined by players from Bridgewater, Wall, New Brunswick, Brielle, East Brunswick, and Little Silver.
This is the Sixpaks first tournament win of the season.
