At the February 16th council meeting, we reviewed the 2021 budget requests of the Fire Company, Chester Library and First Aid Squad.Chester Township’s base contribution to the library’s budget is set by statute. Chester Township and Chester Borough share the costs of the First Aid Squad and the Fire Company at a ratio of 83% and 17% respectively. This ratio is set by the county using school equalization values.
