Save the date for the Chester Environmental Commission’s annual tree giveaway! Sunday, April 25 at the Chester Library parking lot.

Also…it’s planting season! The flower pots your shrubs come in aren’t recyclable. Instead of throwing them away, please consider donating them to this year’s tree giveaway – scheduled for April 25th. Tree saplings have a better chance to survive if they spend their first few years in a pot (one-gallon or larger please).

Pots can be dropped off at the Chester Library on Saturday, April 24 or Sunday, April 25 anytime between the hours of 9 a.m.-noon. We hope to have enough pots available for everyone who may need one. Thank you for helping the environment!
