Chester Township Police Seek Tips After Pottersville Road Homicide

The Morris County Prosecutor's Office said the victim was found on the afternoon of June 6.

CHESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Authorities are investigating the homicide of a 35-year-old resident who was found dead inside a Chester Township home.

Emergency crews and Chester Township police responded to a 911 call at a residence on Pottersville Road during the late afternoon on June 6, according to the Morris County Prosecutor's Office. Police found the victim dead inside the home.

An autopsy conducted by the Morris County Medical Examiner's Office determined the cause of death was multiple sharp force injuries. The manner of death was ruled a homicide.

The Morris County Prosecutor's Office is conducting the investigation, along with the Chester Township Police Department and Morris County Sheriff's Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit.

Authorities said the investigation remains active and no additional information is being released at this time.
