Chester Woman, Recognized Educator Succumbs to Cancer at 74
Pamela Goodman was honored in 2001 for efforts in education.

Dr. Pamela Goodman gave her life to loving and educating others.
The Chester resident courageously battled but later succumbed to ovarian cancer on June 29 at Morristown Medical Center at the age of 74.
Goodman, originally from South Orange, earned her doctorate of education degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Seton Hall University and was a past president of the New Jersey Association for Gifted Children. She also created the Union County Gifted and Talented Association and was an adjunct instructor at Kean College Graduate School of Education.

She was a published author and honored with the Springfield Chamber of Commerce Educational Leader award in 2001.
Goodman is survived by her husband, John, two sons, a daughter, and three grandchildren.
