Chester Woman's 'Breathless' Photo Wins Award, Aids Patient Health

Bayer competition raises awareness for CTEPH.

Patricia Middings, a Chester resident and registered nurse, is helping patients both occupationally and, now, in her spare time.

The photographer captured a beautiful sunset which won the award for Bayer’s “Breathless Moments” campaign, which invited pictured takers to showcase “inspirational events, sights or moments in time that can take a person’s breath away,” according to the company.

Middings’ photo was selected by judges Trace Cluck and his wife Stephanie.

Bayer’s object for the contest was to raise awareness about chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH), which Trace Cluck suffers from.

“I was honored to win Bayer’s Breathless Moments contest,” said Middings in a statement. “I am a nurse, and knowing that my photo is helping to raise awareness about CTEPH is very gratifying.”
