Chester Zoning Board Member, Youth Coach Dies at 68
John Martin was a talented woodworker and grandfather of four.

John Martin spent 20 years living in Chester Borough, and made the most of his time by volunteering in the community.
The Long Island native died recently at the age of 68.
While living in Chester for the past two decades, Martin volunteered as a Zoning Board of Adjustment member and youth sports coach.

Professionally, Martin was a talented woodworker, designing furniture and jewelry boxes among other things.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Gail, a daughter, two step-children, and four grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, Aug. 14 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the William Leber Funeral Home on Furnace Road in Chester.
