Chris Christie took to talk radio in the past 24 hours to address his future after he was told he'll have a role in the Trump administration (hear the interview below).
Christie told radio host Harry Hurley on WPG that he has "every intention of staying" as the governor of New Jersey despite former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani telling NJ Advance Media this week he expects Christie "will have an important role in the administration."
Despite Christie losing his job as chairman of President-elect Donald Trump's transition to the White House, the governor said he and Trump remain "friends," and "if there is a way I can be helpful, that's meaningful, then Mary Pat and I will consider it."

Christie noted that he will have to consider his family's feelings, noting that he has two children in school in North Jersey.
"These are very sensitive times for kids. We have a lot of decisions to make, where our family will be headquartered," he said. "I'll try to balance all those decisions if I have to make a decision to make."

He said when he endorsed Trump earlier this year his desire or intention was not to go to Washington, D.C. "I just wanted to get the best person in the White House," he said.
Despite Giuliani's words, times have reportedly been hard for Christie and his loyalists in the Trump transition. Sources close to the governor said the transition team has been undergoing a "Stalinesque" purge of people close to Christie.
