Chris Christie Holding Book Talk, Signing In Mendham Twp

Hear about the 2016 election from his point of view, as former Gov. Chris Christie promotes his new book, "Let Me Finish."

MENDHAM, NJ — Former Gov. Chris Christie was never shy about telling the world exactly how he felt. And now that he's out of public office, Christie is looking to have the last word with his appropriately titled new book, "Let Me Finish."

Hear it directly from Christie as he promotes the book with a hometown talk, question and answer session, and signing. It'll be held on Feb. 1 at the Mendham High School Library.

Subtitled "Trump, the Kushners, Bannon, New Jersey, and the Power of In-Your-Face Politics," the book should offer plenty of insider details about Christie's political career, which began as a Morris County freeholder, saw him as Governor of New Jersey, and ended with a failed bid for president, and then a failed bid for a cabinet position in Trump's administration.

Leaked excerpts already paint a picture of a scandalous tone: The Guardian reports that Christie blames Kushner for blocking a potential role in the White House as revenge after Christie sent Kushner's father to jail.

The event is organized by and will benefit the Mendham Township library. Advanced registration is required, and the event is expected to sell out. The $45 fee includes a copy of the book, which will be released on Jan. 29. You can register by visiting the library website here, or by calling Bookends at 201-445-0726.
