Chris Christie 'Proud' Of Donald Trump's Twitter Reaction To Russia Reports [Video]
Gov. Chris Christie, returning as advocate for Donald Trump, defended the president-elect after new revelations on his alleged Russian ties.
Gov. Chris Christie, returning to his place as an advocate for Donald Trump, defended the president-elect's reaction to bombshell reports on his alleged ties to Russia on Wednesday (see video below).
Christie, appearing on "Fox and Friends," was referring to reports that Trump and President Obama were recently briefed on intelligence that Russians may have compromising information on Trump.
Christie said it's "not his style" for Trump to ignore those reports, saying he's going to "push back and push back hard" when he's confronted with what he considers unfounded accusations.

"I'm proud of him for doing that," he said.
Buzzfeed published a 35-page dossier of allegations, prepared by a former British intelligence official as opposition research, that it said had been circulating through the highest levels of government for weeks.

The information has not been verified, even though Buzzfeed News published the memos after they were first discussed Tuesday by CNN.
Trump fired back sooner after the publication and refused to take a CNN reporter's question during a Wednesday press conference.

Christie said the reports also raise "a really important issue: If intelligence agencies have this information, it should be kept private."
At the same time, news agencies have a responsibility to verify information, he said. If everything ever said about him was produced as news, Christie said, "You wouldn't be able to get out of the bed."
