Could A Dunkin Donuts Be Coming To Mendham Borough?
Maybe, a borough official told Patch.
MENDHAM BOROUGH, NJ— A Dunkin Donuts could be coming to Mendham Borough's historic district, a borough official confirmed to Patch.
Aryan @ Mendham LLC submitted a proposal to the Mendham Borough Historic Preservation Committee to build a Dunkin Donuts at the old Mariques Restaurant location on 25 E Main Street, Borough Administrator Richard Merkt told Patch. This is an early step in the process.
It was first discussed at the Feb. 27 meeting. Mayor Neil Henry confirmed the process was under way in a local Facebook group.

The proposal will have to be submitted by the builder to the Borough's Board of Adjustment for its next round of approvals, Merkt said.
A similar proposal was also submitted in 2010, which would have included keeping a facade similar to the current building, but that proposal fell through, Merkt said. Officials anticipate Aryan's proposal will also keep a similar facade.
