After nearly five decades, the family operated eatery is shuttered for good.

PARSIPPANY, NJ - After 49-years COVID-19 has done what economic uncertainty, heavy competition and the arrival of phone delivery apps could not do: closed Frank & Son pizza in Parsippany.
In a post on social media Saturday, the restaurant announced that they made the decision to close its doors for the last time.
"We would like you thank you all for the last 49 years. With out every one of you, the last 49 years would not have been possible," the post said. "The Frank and Son family will miss you all. Stay healthy and safe."

Frank Palmieri, the "son" in the marquee told Patch in 2011 that the success of the eatery hinged on sticking by the same sauce-and-cheese formula that his father established.
"We can't cut the amount of cheese we use, the way you mix the dough has to be consistent. The reason people come back is because it tastes the same," he said.
