Craft Fair Returns to Chester Saturday

Fall Craft Show hits Municipal Field at 10 a.m.

While it is still technically summer, the Chester Fall Craft Fair is returning to Chester Borough Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. rain or shine on the Municipal Field in Chester.

The fair will feature a wide variety of tents filled with hand made items including traditional craft, fine art and country crafts. Admission is $5.

One of the artists being featured at the show is Michele Rome, a local artist living in Morristown. Rome makes handmade holiday folk art from recycled paper using antique and vintage chocolate molds, cookie press molds, and repurposed items. As an example, the paper clay she uses in her unique wine bottle tags is made from recycled paper pulp. The embellishments she uses include vintage mica, tea-stained American flags, sewing thread spools, and goat hair. The bottle brush trees and tea-stained flags on some of her pieces are removable so they can be displayed year-round. In addition, many of Rome's display items are antiques that can also be purchased.
