Crews To Begin Working On A Sanitary Sewer Project In Mendham

MENDHAM BOROUGH, NJ — The National Water Main Cleaning Company (NWMCC) is working on a sanitary sewer rehabilitation project that will affect four different roads in the borough, according to officials.

The project's goal is to clear and reconstruct clogged sewer lines, which pose a variety of risks ranging from angry residents to public safety hazards.

To avoid the possibility of sewer flows backing up into your property during this time, please limit all liquids going down your drains and avoid using washing machines or dishwashers.

Residents may notice an odor during certain stages of the operation; to treat this, pour one to two gallons of water down the drain and open any windows.

  • July 11: Hillcrest Avenue and Patriots Path
  • July 12: Emery Avenue and Sterling Avenue

According to NWMCC, there will be a four-hour interruption in sewer service during the day. In some cases, members of the NWMCC may request access to your basement or bathroom if problems arise.

Throughout the construction process, NWMCC crew members will place door hangers to notify residents of any service interruptions.
