Decades-Old RadioShack in Chester Set to Close
Longstanding electronics store part of national shutdown of retail spaces due to bankruptcy.

After more than three decades in Chester, a local business is about to shut its doors.
RadioShack inside the Chester shopping mall on Route 206 will be part of a wider downscaling of locations, with the doors set to close in six to 10 weeks.
The business has been in Chester since the late 1970s but is now in the liquidation phase, selling off any remaining merchandise as well as the store’s fixtures.

More than 1,700 stores nationwide occupying mall and non-mall retail spaces are set to shutter as part of the bankruptcy announcement.
It is not yet known what business will fill the soon-to-be vacant space.
