DWI Checkpoint Coming to Morris County Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer, as students across Morris County head back to the classroom the following week.

With the weekend often comes festivities, including parties and other events that may include the consumption of alcohol. Because of that, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office has announced it will establish a Driving While Intoxicated checkpoint during the weekend.

The checkpoint comes as a result of a grant from the State Division of Highway Traffic Safety and will be operated by officers from the Roxbury Township Police Department.

The location of the checkpoint was not immediately made available.
