Hike Chester ! Free Series of Guided Hikes in and around Chester NJ offered through Chester Recreation continues with our second hike in a series of four. The hikes are open to all ages, families are encouraged! Hikes are for residents and non residents of Chester, join us!
The second hike will be a Geological hike with Dr. Puffer of Chester on Saturday August 4th, 2012. This hike will take place at the Mt. Paul Preserve and Mt. Paul Memorial County Park in Chester, the Flemington Fault and the Byram Granite. The hike is a moderate hike and open to all ages and abilities. Hike will begin at 9:30am and conclude around 11:30am. Hikers can decide at the conclusion of the journey to hike or drive close to the top of Mt Paul to observe the Triassic Rocks.
Meet at the new parking area for Mt Paul Preserve on Mt. Paul Road, 1/8 of a mile from the intersection with Route 24. Mt. Paul Road is located across the street from Westmont Montessori School.
