Former Chester Business Owner Passes Away

CHESTER, NJ — Obituary provided by the Bailey Funeral Home:

Laraine E. Hobbie passed away at home in Spring City TN on July 16, 2017. She was 72. Born in Mendham she lived in Long Valley and Chester before moving to Spring City in late 90s.

She and her late husband John Hobbie owned Hobbie Heat and Power in Chester for 35 years before retiring in the late 90s.

Her family will remember her as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed entertaining, traveling with the fishing tournament friends, and her grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband John Hobbie Sr. and her son John Hobbie Jr.

She is survived by one son Richard Hobbie and his wife Cheryl Hobbie of Califon and one daughter Donna Stanton of TN. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday July 24, 2017 from 10am until 12 Noon at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd., Mendham. Funeral Service 12 Noon in the funeral home. Interment Somerset HillsMemorial Park, Basking Ridge. www.baileyfuneral.com
