Former Mendham Business Owner, Resident Passes
George Mazzoni was the owner of Dean Painting Contractors in Mendham until 2011.

George Mazzoni passed away on April 2 at Virtua Berlin Rehab Center at the age of 72.
Mazzoni was born in Morristown and lived in Rockaway and Stanhope before moving to Mendham in 1973. A 1958 graduate of Bayley Ellard High School, Mazzoni served in United States Army from 1966-1968. Mazzoni was the owner of Dean Painting Contractors in Mendham for 45 years, up until his retirement in 2011. Mazzoni was active in Mendham Boys Soccer as a coach for many years. He loved to ride his Harley Davidson and he was an avid scuba diver.
His family will remember him as a loving husband, father, and brother who enjoyed life. He was predeceased by his wife Faustina.
Survivors include his son Dean Mazzoni and his wife Michele of Marlton, his two grandsons Nicholas and Samuel, one brother David Mazzoni of Chalfont, Pa, and two sisters Beth Tonelli of Carey, NC and Joy Theophilos of Lebanon.

A private interment was held in Hilltop Cemetery in Mendham. For those desiring, donations to the Mendham Borough PBA Local 384 or the Mendham First Aid Squad, in his memory, would be appreciated.
