Former Mendham Resident, Local Business Owner Passes Away

Nicholas John Battaglino Jr. was a longtime Mendham resident before moving to Knowlton.

MENDHAM, NJ — Obituary provided by the William J. Leber Funeral Home:

Nicholas John Battaglino Jr., 68, of Knowlton, NJ passed away on Friday,

July 21, 2017. He was born on February 25, 1949 in Orange, NJ
and was a graduate of Glassboro State College. Nicholas has lived in
Knowlton for the past 6 years and previously was a long time resident of
Mendham, NJ. He was the retired owner of Hawk Graphics Inc., a
commercial printing company in Randolph, NJ, which he
started with his wife Dorothy in 1981.

In his retirement, Nicholas enjoyed bird hunting and was a
member of the Black Meadow Gun Club in Warwick, NY. He also had a passion for farming his property and sharing the bounty with family and friends.

Nicholas is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dorothy Battaglino, his
children, Nick and wife Dorena, Michael and wife Tara, and John and wife
Lauren, his grandchildren, Nicholas, Dagny, Michael Jr, Jack, John, Jake,
and Taylor. He was predeceased by his parents, Nicholas Sr. and Georgian (Jean).

A Celebration of Nicholas’ Life will include a visitation on Wednesday, July
26, 2017 from 3pm to 7pm at the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15
Furnace Road (corner of Rt. 206), Chester, NJ (908) 879-3090. Final
interment will be held privately by his family.
