Gas In Chester Drops To $2.17 For Labor Day Weekend Travelers

If you’re planning on driving this Labor Day weekend, it may be easier on your pockets than you were expecting.

According to GasBuddy.com, which compiles and compares fuel prices at 130,000 gas stations across the nation, the average price of a gallon of gasoline in New Jersey has dropped to $2.07 as of Wednesday.

The cheapest gas in the Mendham-Chester area could be found at the Delta on Route 24 east for $2.17.

And prices are still dropping, the website states.

According to AAA Mid-Atlantic, the recent drop in gas prices to “sagging crude oil prices.”
