MENDHAM, NJ — The Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey have announced that they are now accepting applications for seasonal positions at the Jockey Hollow Camp in Mendham.

Girl Scout Camp is open from July 5 to August 19, and all employees are required to attend mandatory staff training the week of June 27.

The employment opportunities at Jockey Hollow begin at the age of 16 and up, depending on the position, and are ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children, enjoy the outdoors and are looking for a summer job.

"Girl Scout Camp offers a fast paced, high-energy environment that is a perfect fit for those looking to grow their experience and have the opportunity to take on a mentorship role," The Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey said.

Available positions include:

  • Administrative staff
  • Counselors
  • Lifeguards
  • Nurses and EMTs
  • Activity specialists (arts and crafts, archery and challenge course/zip line specialists)

When hired, lifeguards, archery specialists and zip line specialists will receive free training and certification.

“We are thrilled to be gearing up for our 2022 Girl Scout Camp season where girls thrive in the great outdoors and enjoy new adventures in a supportive, all-girl environment,” said Sandra A. Kenoff, President/Chief Executive Officer, Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey. "We are looking forward to growing our staff at each of our camps this summer so we can ensure our Girl Scouts build their courage, confidence and character while learning new skills including boating, swimming, cooking, fishing, horseback riding, zip-lining, archery, woodworking and more.”

Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey provides the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to over 17,200 girls and nearly 9,700 adult members in Bergen, Morris, Passaic, Sussex and northern Warren counties.
