STANHOPE, NJ - Those looking for an escape can step back to a time before the COVID-19 pandemic, and before the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic to Dodge City of 1880 as Wild West City has flung open its doors for the season.

But those looking to take that trip to the old west are going to need to abide by some new rules to help spread the stem of COVID-19.

Wild West City officials noted they are taking extra steps and diligently working to help prevent the spread of any virus by following CDC and NJ Department of Health guidelines. As added precautionary measures Wild West City has implemented the following:

  • Tickets will be available for purchase online and available at the admission gate upon arrival. We encourage guests to purchase their tickets online in advance of their visit.
  • The ground will be marked encouraging guests to stay one horse length (6 feet) away from other guests for proper social distancing.
  • Plexiglass has been installed at indoor admission counters.
  • Bandanas (or other facial coverings) are required when entering the admission gate for guests over the age of 2 and must be worn in all indoor locations and wherever social distancing cannot be maintained.
  • Our employees will be wearing masks and gloves.
  • Our actors will be wearing masks while in close contact with guests outdoors.
  • High touch surfaces will be cleaned and sanitized throughout the day.
  • The General Store will be open at limited capacity.
  • The Golden Nugget Saloon and Frontier Frank’s Prairie Pizza will be open for the purchase of take out food and beverages.
  • The train, stage coach, pony ride and miniature golf will be open.
  • Select Living History Stations will be open as well as the barnyard zoo.

"We are excited to welcome guests back into town," officials said.
