Harvest Hustle Gears Up for Runners, Fun in Mendham Borough

It’s that time of year again, when Mendham Borough comes together to have a fun time and support its schools.

The annual Harvest Hustle 5K and 1-mile fun run for kids is set for Sept. 27, and registration is now open. A portion of the proceeds benefit a scholarship in the name of the late Sergeant Richard Morales and also supports health and wellness initiatives in Mendham Borough schools.

The course is a USATF-NJ Grand Prix event suitable for walkers and runners of all levels. The event is followed by the annual eighth grade fair at Mountain View School, which raises funds for the students’ annual trip to Washington D.C.

Festivities will begin at 8 a.m. with the Fun Run, followed by the 5K at 9 a.m. Registration is $25 for the 5K and $12 for the Fun Run if completed by Sept. 7. Thereafter each registration is an additional $3. Free t-shirts are available for the first 500 5K registrants and free t-shirts for the first 150 Fun Run participants.
