'A Haunting at the Hive' Art Exhibition Opens October 8th

The Gallery at the Hive announces its autumn exhibition, A Haunting at the Hive. The gallery has gathered a compelling collection of works created by over twenty-five regionally and internationally acclaimed visual artists. Curated by Chaotic Attractors, the exhibition concentrates on themes of hauntings, phantoms, fears and dreams; it asks viewers to allow themselves to drift into the realm of the hypnogogic - the liminal space of shadow and myth.

The selected artists are: Patience Anders, Kristy Brucale Jach, Nicolas Caesar, Christine E.S. Code, Shaun Daley, Heather Eatman, Kate P. Eggleston, Christy Elizabeth, Andy Don Emmons, Tracy Fox, Chris Ernst, Asha Ganpat, Susan Gepford, Ellen Some Hanauer, Rob Hessler, Paul Jach, Tracy Jager, Ansate Jones, Vicky Knowles, Kristina Lloyd, Rachel Marie, David Metcalfe, Christopher Montgomery, Freda Olivia Moore, Beth Murphy, Pseudo5, Ryan Rutherford, Anjum Saeed, Bret Salvatore, Anthony Santella, Thomas Sciacca, Laura Shabazz, Vikki Sin, Tom Taggart, Kelly Vetter, Lesley Wahl, Jodi Walker, Weird*Eye*One, Beppy Young, and Liz Young.

At the opening night, The Hive Main Stage and Paternal Music Inc. will supply an evening of rock music by Heather Eatman, Danni May and Lizard Wizard Scissors - local and NYC bands - for art patrons to jam out to. Terrifying drinks and blood curdling snacks will be served!

Some AMAZING music, art, literature, and atmosphere await you at The Hive!!! THIS SHOW IS GONNA BE SPOOKY AS HECK!!! Get here early to check out the art and make some pals.
Admission is free, but there is a suggested donation to help pay the artists.

Musical acts for creepy and wonderful ambience by:
Heather Eatman, Indie rock songwriter. Her music reflects influences from Lou Reed and Patti Smith to Tom Waits and Rickie Lee Jones, but what comes out is an amalgam that sounds fresh and original. She will be performing vocals and electric guitar.

Danni May - A Hive favorite as well as the author of the Zine, Machinery of the Human Heart. He will have a stand set up so be sure to stop by and see what its all about!
