“High Performing” NJQSAC Rating for Mendham Township School District
School leadership happily confirms that the district scored "high performing" in school district effectiveness.

Mendham Township, NEW JERSEY (September 21, 2022) – The New Jersey Department of Education (NJ DOE) is responsible for ensuring all school districts operate at a high level of performance. The monitoring and evaluation process employed by the NJ DOE to assess all public school districts is called the New Jersey Quality Single Accountability Continuum (NJQSAC). The system focuses on monitoring and evaluating school districts in five key components that, based on research, have been identified to be key factors in effective school districts. These components are Instruction & Program, Fiscal Management, Governance, Operations, and Personnel.
Mendham Township School District participated in NJQSAC, and earlier this month Dr. Sal Constantino, Superintendent for Mendham Township School District, was notified that the district had achieved “high performing” in all five key areas. Results are as follows:

To achieve the designation of “high performing,” a school district must satisfy at least 80% of the weighted indicators in each of the five areas of the NJQSAC. The MTSD exceeded this threshold for every key component of the evaluation process. In accordance with NJQSAC regulations, the MTSD District Board of Education will report these placement results at their next regularly scheduled Board meeting on September 27, 2022. “The NJ DOE informed me of the results and congratulated us on this accomplishment,” said Dr. Constantino. “I extend that congratulations and appreciation to every individual in the MTSD community who help make our students’ educational experience so exceptional. We are delighted to have received these results and acknowledgement of our efforts.”
