Students in kindergarten through 4th grade learned about voting and the electoral process. In order to provide students with a ‘real world’ experience, all students had an opportunity to vote for their favorite book in a patriotic voting booth. Students were encouraged to thoughtfully consider each ‘literary candidate’. Students thought about the purpose, character, theme and illustrations for each title.
