MENDHAM, NJ — Yesterday's snowstorm was the first major storm of this season, bringing school closings and cancelled work days. Thankfully, power outages were minimal despite the storm's strong wind gusts, and residents mostly stayed inside.
The storm, touted as a bomb cyclone, left several inches of snow on the county. Here's how much snow Morris County got according to the National Weather Service:
- Roxbury Twp: 5.0 inches, 9:30 p.m.
- Green Pond: 4.6 inches, 7:36 p.m.
- Butler 4.5: inches, 4:10 p.m.
- Parsippany: 4.3 inches, 5:07 p.m.
- Morristown: 4.2 inches, 5:19 p.m.
- Kinnelon: 4.0 inches, 4:39 p.m.
- Mount Arlington: 4.0 inches, 3:00 p.m.
- Marcella: 4.0 inches, 6:22 p.m.
- Schooleys Mountain: 4.0 inches, 4:00 p.m.
- Jefferson Twp: 4.0 inches, 8:12 p.m.
- Randolph Twp: 3.5 inches, 3:32 p.m.
- Succasunna: 3.0 inches, 4:27 p.m.
