Icy Roads Force 2-Hour Delay for Mendham, Chester Schools
First measurable snow accumulation lays base for poor driving conditions.
Sunday's snowfall laid a nice base for icy precipitation overnight into Monday, leading to icy and slick roadways in the Mendhams and Chesters.
Because of that, all Mendham Borough, Mendham Township, and Chester Consolidated School district school buildings will operate on a 2-hour delayed opening.
Both high schools in the West Morris Regional district will also have a delayed start.
This is the first weather-related delay of the 2013-14 school year.
