There is even National Dance Day, to encourage Americans to embrace dance as a fun and positive way to maintain health. Whatever your reason, dancing makes us feel happy and the Art Of Dance school located in Chester, New Jersey has been influential in making this happy, magic since 1969. Opened by Mrs. Florence Lambros, the business has always been family owned and operated. With daughter Mrs. Valerie Harman now heading the studio, her daughter Linsey O’Neal teaches and helps to run the “Award Winning” Art of Dance, Dance Company.

Whether you or your child are in it to win it, or just to have fun and stay healthy, you don't have to have moves like Jagger to reap any of dancing's health-enhancing benefits and It's never too late to augment your health by getting down! Dancing gives your brain a workout, builds muscle memory, coordination, and an gives you an intense workout.
What about those two left feet? How can "twinkle toes" benefit your brain? The Art of Dance knows dancing is about much more than just the steps. With children as young as 14 months (Mommy & Me) through to the aspiring professional or recreational adult dancer. Director Valerie Harman inspires creativity, coordination and confidence within students with the help of her dedicated, experienced staff and faculty. “Memories are built here, memories and relationships that will last a lifetime”. Not only for children's classes but for their adults too, there is a huge sense of community, family and laughter through their doors!
The training speaks for itself, with opportunities that appeal to both the recreational and competitive dancer. All classes are taught by a professional teaching staff and are offered in all styles of dance. Ballet, tap, hip-hop, Irish, lyrical, gymnastics, boys only classes and theatre, just to name a few. They also offer private acting and singing lessons with their faculty. Art Of Dance offers a convenient schedule, with classes for all ages. And hey adults, it’s never too late; new skills can bring confidence. Some of you may even be able to head to the dance floor feeling good about your new coordination and musicality, without that second martini's encouragement.
With passionate new and returning favorite teachers spanning from Broadway, American Ballet Theatre, TV’s - So you Think You Can Dance and competitive performing arts Universities, there is no surprise that a lot of the dancers go on to perform in College and University dance teams and professional companies. Just take a look at the ”still in training” dancers that have performed in National Broadway Tours (Billy Elliot, Radio City), regional theatre, and film. You can also see them grace the covers of well known Dancewear and costume catalogues, such as Jo & Jax, A Wish Come True and Discount Dance!
