Indictment: Mt. Olive Woman Shot Former Cop 'Multiple Times'
Former school teacher being charged with murder, report says.
Authorities have charged a Mt. Olive woman with murder after a grand jury returned an indictment Tuesday.
According to NJ.com, the indictment alleges Virginia Vertetis, 52, of Mt. Olive, shot a man in her home multiple times.
Vertetis is a former fourth-grade school teacher in the Wharton School District. The man who was shot and killed in her home is Patrick Gillhuley of Staten Island, who has been described as Vertetis’ ex-boyfriend.

Vertetis is being held in Morris County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500,000 bail with no 10-percent option. The murder occurred on March 3 this year.
