Korean War Vet, Mendham Resident, Grandfather Dies at 85
Robert Bull worked for Chubb Insurance for four decades.

Robert Bull never let his West Coast roots get away from him, even when living in Mendham for decades.
The grandfather of three died recently after a long battle with Alzheimer’s at the age of 85.
Bull was born September 7, 1929 in San Francisco, California. He grew up on the West Coast and married his wife, Kathryn, in San Mateo, California.

Bull served in the Unites States Navy on the USS Boxer during the Korean War. Upon leaving the service, Bull began a 41-year career with Chubb and Son Insurance company.
While living in Mendham, Bull was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading and watching his beloved San Francisco 49ers.

Bull is predeceased by his wife, Kathryn. He is survived by his three children and three grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 11 a.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church in Mendham. Memorial Donations may be made to the National Parks Service or Alzheimer’s Association.
