Lifelong Chester Resident With 'Loving Personality' Dies at 20

Daniel Ghizzone worked as an auto mechanic in Summit; a GoFundMe page has been created to help his family.

Daniel “Danny Ghizzone had an amazing smile, and shared his loving and accepting personality with everyone.

The lifelong Chester resident died on Tuesday at the age of 20, according to his obituary.

Ghizzone worked as an auto mechanic for Harquail Brothers in Summit and loved cars and the outdoors. He also enjoyed making blown jewelry from a custom glass studio he helped build with a friend.

Ghizzone loved to spend time with family as well. He is survived by his parents and a brother.

A friend of Ghizzone’s, Thomas Grego, set up a GoFundMe page for Daniel’s family, which has raised $9,940 as of 1 p.m. Thursday with a goal of $20,000. In just the first day 126 donors had contributed.

“Dan Ghizzone was an amazing person, friend, brother, and family member,” the donation page reads. “Always had a smile on his face and always lit up the room. At such a young age he is no longer with us. In his memory I would like to collect donation which will be provided to his family to help cover an outstanding expenses. The remaining will be donated to a charity of his family’s choice in his memory.”

A Celebration of Daniel’s Life will be held Saturday, Feb. 14 from noon to 4 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 4 p.m. at William Leber Funeral Home on Furnace Road.
