Local Dance Travel Troupe, Needs New Members!

We all love the Holiday Season, and as it fast approaches us, local Chester dance studio, the Art Of Dance is thinking about the less fortunate in our community. Having been located in Chester since 1969, Executive Director Valerie Harman's passion and love for dance fuels her passion to share the "Art Of Dance" with everyone, especially when it involves giving back to the community.

While most dance Studio's start to shut down for the Holiday's, the Art of Dance is gearing up for their first performances of the Dance Season. All dancers age 5 and older, are invited to join the Art of Dance, Travel Troupe Holiday Show! Every year, the Troupe perform for the elderly in several local nursing homes during the holiday season. Many of these people are not able to leave their building; therefore, they look forward to this holiday dance event all year round!

You can be a beginner dancer or have years of experience. Mrs Harman wants all to know "Everyone is welcome!" Rehearsals will be on Fridays, starting October 21st from 5:30-6:45pm at the studio, based in Chester, NJ. Performances will be on Saturday afternoon's and one Friday (12/16) in December. Interested in assisting? Teen dancers, ages 13 & Up, are encouraged to volunteer to assist with rehearsals and choreography. All dancers will receive Community Service Credit!
