Local Fire Dept. To Welcome New Tower With Wet Down Event In Chester

CHESTER, NJ — The Chester Volunteer Fire Department will host a wet down in celebration of the new Tower 9 from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 13.

The event will include food, drinks, and live music by Felony, a local rock and roll band. It will take place at the Chester Fire Company headquarters, which is located at 86 Main Street in Chester.

Members of the fire department will be selling a limited number of wet down shirts, mugs, and pint glasses; "make sure to get there early to get yours," officials said.

Along with the live entertainment, there will be 50/50 raffles in which attendees can participate, according to the Chester Volunteer Fire Department.
