Local Girl Scout Cadettes Mackenzie Ling and Erin Torgersen Seeking Art Supply Donations for Art Therapy Program at Goryeb Children’s Hospital

CHESTER, NJ – Local Girl Scout Cadettes, Mackenzie Ling and Erin Torgersen, are collecting art supplies for the Goryeb Children’s Hospital (Goryeb) in Morristown for their art therapy program to complete their silver award project. The silver award is the second highest award that a Girl Scout can earn as a Cadette. Ms. Ling and Ms. Torgersen wanted to work with children in the hospital so they partnered up with Goryeb’s Art Therapy Program. This program meets once a week for patients staying in the hospital and helps patients deal with stress while serving as a pleasant distraction from their illness or injury. 

Please consider donating to this wonderful program. Art supply collection bins will be placed at the following locations from February 8 - 28, 2014:

• St. Lawrence the Martyr Parish, 375 Main Street, Chester, NJ

• Bragg Intermediate School, 250 Route 24 Chester, NJ

• Dickerson Elementary School, 250 Route 24 Chester, NJ

• Black River Middle School, Rt. 513/North Road Chester, NJ

•             Crayola Model Magic Containers

•             Canvas Boards (4x6, 6x8 and/or 8x10)
