Longtime Chester Butcher, Army Vet Dies at 77

Paul Parisi was a ShopRite staple for more than a quarter century.

Paul Parisi made a lot of hungry people very, very happy for a long time.

The Hackettstown resident and former butcher died recently at the age of 77 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville, according to his obituary.

Parisi died on April 3, just two days after his birthday. He served in the United States Army, and worked as a butcher at the Chester ShopRite for more than a quarter century.

Parisi was a hard-working family man who is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary, three children, and three grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the VA Hospice, VA NJ Healthcare System, Attn: Voluntary Services, 151 Knollcroft Road, Lyons, NJ.
