Longtime Chester Resident, WWII Vet Dies at 88
Charles Kraft lived in town for more than 60 years.

Charles “Bill” Kraft was a staple in Chester for six decades.
The longtime resident died Tuesday at the age of 88, according to his obituary.
Kraft was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and moved to Chester more than 60 years ago. He served in the United States Army Air Force during World War II and worked at Warner-Lambert for 43 years before retiring.

Kraft was a parishioner of St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church in Chester and a first-degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #5410.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa, of 37 years and a total of seven children. He was predeceased by his first wife Emogene Kraft, and daughter Caroline.
