Longtime Mendham Resident, Grandmother Dies at 88
'Mickey' Thomas raised five children in town.

‘Mickey’ Thomas was Morris County through and through, and spent more than half her life contributing to Mendham.
Mary Ann ‘Mickey’ Williamson Thomas died recently at the age of 88.
Thomas was born in Morristown and graduated from Morristown High School in 1945. She met Thomas S. Thomas, III, on the steps of the Morristown Post Office and the two were wed two years later in 1950.

The couple moved to Hanover Township for a decade before settling in Mendham in 1964 for good.
Thomas was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church of Morristown and a member of the church choir for many years. She taught Sunday school there for more than 25 years.

She is predeceased by her husband of 58 years and one son, John Parker Thomas. She is survived by three sons and a daughter as well as 12 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bailey Funeral Home in Mendham. A memorial service will be held at the Chapel of The Presbyterian Church of Morristown on Saturday, Aug. 8 at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow for family and friends in Mendham.
Memorial donations may be made to the Presbyterian Church of Morristown.
