Longtime Mendham Resident, Pastime Club Member Dies at 64

Peter Rowe loved to farm on his family's property on Main Street in the borough.

Peter Rowe loved farming and spent his most of his life in Mendham.

The local carpenter died recently at the age of 64, according to Bailey Funeral Home.

Rowe was born in Cedar Grove and moved to Mendham with his family in 1950. He was a self-employed carpenter for many years before retiring, and also worked at Mendham Plywood for many years.

He loved farming and spent many years maintaining the family farm on Main Street in Mendham.

Rowe was also a member of the Mendham Pastime Club and a history buff active in the Morris Canal Society.

Rowe is survived by his brother, Chuck, and his wife Eddy of Chester.

Memorial donations may be made to Mendham Borough Fire Department or the American Cancer Society.
