Boil Water Advisory Issued For A Portion Of Mendham

The notification was sent out to residents in the area on Wednesday night due to a water main break in Mendham.

MENDHAM, NJ — Mendham officials issued a boil water advisory for sections of Mendham Township after a water main break in the area of Tingley Road on Wednesday evening.

The water main break caused a sinkhole in the roadway that required overnight repairs. The advisory is in effect until further notice.

"You can expect an update at approximately at 2:00 p.m. on Sept. 2, 2022, on the progress of this issue," the Southeast Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority said.

  • 35, 37, 40, 41, 42, 43, 47 Tingley Rd
  • 1-10 Dogwood Drive
  • Whispering Meadow Drive
  • Whitehead Road
  • Doe Hill Road

Officials advise residents not to drink the water until it has boiled for at least three minutes. Until further notice, boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth and preparing food.
