Meet Mendham's New School Resource Police Officer

MENDHAM, NJ — A veteran local police officer with more than 27 years of experience has joined the Mendham Borough School District for the new school year.

Class III Officer Robert Wysokowski joined the district at the start of the 2026-27 school year as part of its ongoing partnership with the Mendham Borough Police Department.

Wysokowski previously served with the Mendham Township Police Department before recently joining the Mendham Borough Police Department, according to the school district.

He brings more than 27 years of law enforcement experience to the position. Wysokowski earned his bachelor's degree from Monmouth University and a master's degree from Seton Hall University.

Class III special law enforcement officers are retired law enforcement officers who are authorized to provide security in New Jersey schools.

Outside of work, Wysokowski is married with three children and enjoys playing and coaching softball. The district also noted that he enjoys visiting Six Flags Great Adventure with his family and riding nearly every attraction at the park.

District officials said Wysokowski's arrival continues the school system's partnership with the Mendham Borough Police Department aimed at maintaining "safety and security throughout the school community."
